In this lesson, learn who Columbus was and how he prepared and set sail for the New World.
Although the Vikings were the first Europeans to discover the North American Continent 500 years earlier, that discovery was not well known and fell into legend. Hence, Columbus is credited with the modern-day discovery.
Recommended age group: 5 to 90.
